This morning Scott, Molly and I went on a 2 hour walk to the northern end of the Constitution Trail. On the way back the toe on my right foot started to hurt. I think I aggravated an old injury. It is feeling better now that I rested it for a few hours.

John worked from 7:00 am until 6:00pm so it gave me some time to clean house. I vacuumed and mopped the floor and did a few loads of laundry. I also worked on removing some more stains from the pleated blinds. The bleach pen is doing a really good job of getting rid of the spots. I want to try to use the bleach pen on the grout between the tiles on the floor.

I spent a few hours resting and watching TV – it felt really good doing nothing at all for awhile ;) Then I went to the mall and did a bit of shopping – I purchased a pair of pants for work at Macy’s (formerly Famous Barr). It seems like Macy’s has purchased many of the regional upscale stores – I’m not sure I like this – it kinda takes some of the regional flair out of shopping….

For supper we went to Noodles. It was not overly busy and we got to sit in our favorite booth. After supper we sat outside for a few hours visiting with Scott and enjoying “Tiki Time”. I need to get some more citronella oil for the torches.

We have decided to go to the “Peoria Superfest” hamfest on September 16th and 17th. We asked Scott if he would like to also come along – he seems a bit skeptical of the hamfest concept, but I think he would enjoy going….. Hamfest is not a ham products festival – it is basically a flea market for amateur radio stuff, computers and electronics. You find lots of vintage junque to go through. I sometimes find some 8-tracks and 8-track players along with retro computer stuff.
